• Netmail delivery

From Khronos@VERT/CWSHACK to All on Tue May 9 13:18:14 2023
What area do I look in my system to see how netmail delivery is being handled? I believe that netmail messages may only be routing out to my hub a few times a day instead of when the message is generated.
Echomail works ine I am just having issues with sending / receiving of netmail.

    Hi,
The sbbsecho.log file does show some netmail events, but what I am saying is I do not know how to force a netmail send / receive.
I sent some netmail to a user on another system and it did not send this out for a few hours.

What area do I look in my system to see how netmail delivery is being handled?

    data/sbbsecho.log

I checked my sbbsecho.log file and I see that there is a lot of time from the time I wrote my netmail messages and the time that they were sent out.
How do I tell the system to send out my echomail and netmail as soon as I created it from the message areas or netmail area?

Was the netmail routed or sent direct? (the sbbsecho.log file should indicate that).

Check that SCFG->Networks->FidoNet->NetMail Semaphore is set to "%jfidoout.now" and that you have the "FIDOOUT" timed event configured (and enabled) in SCFG->External Programs->Timed Events.

I think you'd need to define your hub as crash in echocfg, so any time
mail is present it'd be sent out -- otherwise it'd go out with the
binkout event when it fired off?
