It wasn't that great to me. Not a Rhianna fan. She may have a
couple of tunes that might have some cool musical treatment.
But otherwise she's not really a too extraordinary singer at
all, to me. Her voice comes across a bit too whiney. However,
she does have the looks to be appealing to watch.

The staging mechanics of the multiple floating and changing
platforms was very interesting though. Some of these halftime
shows always seem to be extraordinary productions for just a
mere 14 minute show.
What happened to people that could actually sing and play instruments? The halftime show was basically TL;DW.

The Tom Petty halftime show was
definitely live. I was part of the
audience that year. We saw him practice
the whole thing multiple times the days
before the show.

The difference with a band like Tom Petty's was they could sing and play their songs live without sequencers, loop pedals, and auto tune.

I know, but it was badly done this time. Before HD TV's, it was nosuch a big deal. Even the old American Bandstand episodes, it seemed better.
there's not many bands that sound the same live as on a recording.
rage against the machine sounds the same too.

20 years ago there was a band named Silverchair, and their vocals on the first album were heavily processed. The singer was 17, and that voice couldn't have come from him.
When the second album came out they must've gotten flak because the singer didn't sound the same. His real voice was less full, but sounded good for their style of music.
Sports gambling is really big in football. My sister knew a bookie who worked a midnight shift so he could spend most of the shift making calls and collecting debt. He didn't stay working at a place for long, unless the shift manager knew he was doing it or owed him money.

Speaking of bad audio, the former Chicago radio host Mancow Muller recorded a live show wtih Paul McCartney's band for the radio station. Since it was recorded at the mixing board, he could isolate individual vocals. While listening to isolated vocals, he learned why Linda McCartney's mic feed was dialed down. She sings out of key, but they mix her mic so low in the mix no one notices. Mancow would replay the recording with Linda's voice turned up ,and each time he played it the station would be fined $100k. She has passed away, but this was being done while she was alive

During the WLS period he had the reality show with his brother that sold cars. He was interesting for awhile, then his show became much shorter in format because there was just as much advertising, if not more than there was
content. I haven't heard anything about him since 2019.

He seems like a level headed person who is married and has kids.
Some radio celebrities seem a bit flakey and piss their money away on cars and
